Spring/Summer 2022: AN Interior
The Architect’s Newspaper is excited to unveil the new look of AN Interior! Beautifully redesigned by Maiarelli Studio, this gorgeous publication explores interiors across a number of project types, from residential to commercial to restaurant and hospitality. Rich color palettes and curving forms set the scene in New York, where the new Casper Headquarters by ARO recently opened. Contrasts abound: An Art Deco–inspired restaurant by Rockwell Group for LA sushi den Katsuya’s New York debut balances out Thomas Phifer and Partners’ minimalist residential compound upstate, a monochromatic string of boxes embedded into the hillside.
Issue 21’s special section presents a series of stunning kitchen and bath designs, from ground-up construction to thoughtful renovations. High-quality materials are the name of the game for this curated set of east and west coast homes. Learn about what’s trending in K&B design, and find the latest lighting, hardware, and surface products to incorporate into your next project.
We’ve also gathered updates on two of the design industry’s biggest weekends this season: NYCxDESIGN and Salone del Mobile.
Other features include a Michigan hotel renovation realized through a collaboration between furniture manufacturer Haworth and designer Patricia Urquiola and a tent-like house in eastern Spain by Andrés Jaque that assists in the repair of the surrounding laurel forest ecosystem.
